Hotel General

You can check in with us from 15:00 and check out is until 11:00.

The hotel reception is open 24/7, which means that there will always be someone there to welcome you, regardless of your time of arrival.

No, it is not allowed to bring pets to the hotel.

Is smoking allowed in the hotel? Is smoking allowed in the hotel?

The hotel is completely non-smoking. That means no smoking in the hotel, rooms, balcony and other public areas.

What payment methods are accepted? What payment methods are accepted?

At the reception we accept the following payment methods: pin (contactless) or by credit card. Payment with cash is not possible.

Is luggage storage available? Is luggage storage available?

Yes, luggage storage is available free of charge if you wish to leave your luggage at the hotel before check-in or after check-out.

Yes, the hotel is accessible for guests with disabilities. For more information about the available facilities, please refer to our FAQ on 'Accessibility Facilities' at the bottom of this page.

I am not yet 18 years old, can I stay in the hotel? I am not yet 18 years old, can I stay in the hotel?

It is allowed when the parents have signed a written statement. We also ask for a copy of the passport of all underage guests, in case there is no adult present.

What is the reason you have to give your credit card? What is the reason you have to give your credit card?

To guarantee your reservation before arrival, the amount on your credit card will be authorized at noon on the day before your arrival. At check-in you can pay with another payment card, the authorization taken earlier will be cancelled.

How can I change or cancel my reservation? How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can change or cancel your reservation by contacting the booking channel where you made your reservation. Please check your personal reservation confirmation for the specific cancellation policy.

Restaurant

What are the breakfast opening hours? What are the breakfast opening hours?

From Monday to Friday you can enjoy breakfast from 07:00 - 10:00. And on weekends from 07:00 to 11:00.

From Monday through Sunday, you can enjoy dinner at our own Seven Seas restaurant from 12:00 - 10:00 p.m.

What are the bar opening hours? What are the bar opening hours?

The bar is open daily from 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Breakfast is not included in the reservation, can we still take advantage of breakfast? Breakfast is not included in the reservation, can we still take advantage of breakfast?

Yes it is certainly possible to use breakfast. Please contact the hotel by phone to adjust your reservation for this purpose.

Spa & Wellness

What are the opening hours of the Spa & Wellness? What are the opening hours of the Spa & Wellness?

The Spa & Wellness and swimming pool are open daily from 07:00 to 23:00.

Is the Spa & Wellness open only to adults or also to children? Is the Spa & Wellness open only to adults or also to children?

The Spa & Wellness is open every day from 07:00 to 23:00 and accessible to both adults and children. Use of our Spa & Wellness facilities is possible only when you stay in our hotel.

Can I use the pool for free? Can I use the pool for free?

Yes only as a hotel guest you can use the pool for free. Beauty treatments can be booked at an additional charge.

No reservations are required to use the pool. 

Car, Bicycle and Public Transport

Does the hotel have its own parking lot? Does the hotel have its own parking lot?

Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam has its own parking lot with 18 parking spaces. The parking lot is located directly under the hotel, parking in this parking lot is at a charge. It is not possible to reserve the parking spaces in advance, they are available based on availability.

Upon arrival, you may use our paid parking lot. If there is no availability in our own parking lot, we will direct you to one of the nearby parking lots.

Can I rent a bicycle during my stay? Can I rent a bicycle during my stay?

Yes sure, you can rent a regular or an electric bike during your stay at our reception.

Is the hotel easily accessible by public transportation? Is the hotel easily accessible by public transportation?

Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam is easily accessible by public transportation. Amsterdam train station is an 8-minute walk from the hotel and 8 minutes by car.

Accessibility Facilities

What facilities does the hotel offer for guests with disabilities? What facilities does the hotel offer for guests with disabilities?

Our hotel is suitable for guests with physical disabilities and offers various facilities. On the left side of the main entrance, there is a separate wheelchair-accessible entrance. This entrance is equipped with an accessible lift, and our staff is ready to welcome you there.

Most areas of our hotel are accessible, thanks to wide passageways and step-free zones. Accessible restrooms are available both on the ground floor and near the wellness area. Service dogs are also warmly welcomed. Upon request, you can book an adapted room.

What facilities does the room offer for guests with disabilities? What facilities does the room offer for guests with disabilities?

The entrance door of the adapted room is 95 centimeters wide. The room features a bed with a height of 60 cm, offering a turning radius of over 1.50 meters on the left side of the bed and 1.10 meters on the right side. Charging options are available on both sides of the bed.

What facilities does the bathroom offer for guests with disabilities? What facilities does the bathroom offer for guests with disabilities?

The bathroom measures 237 x 354 cm (8.38 m²) and is accessible via a small ramp at the doorway, which is 102 cm wide. The bathroom features two fixed sinks at a height of 76 cm, both wheelchair-accessible. 

The toilet is positioned at a height of 44 cm and equipped with two foldable support rails on either side. There is also ample space around the toilet for wheelchair maneuvering. 

The walk-in shower is fitted with grab bars at a height of 70 cm and includes the option to shower while seated, using a portable shower stool.
